Introduction: Restless legs syndrome (RLS) has a prevalence of approx. 10% in the general population. Recently, multiple sclerosis (MS) was identified as a common cause for secondary RLS with prevalence ranging between 13.3% and 37.5%. The aim of our study was to evaluate the prevalence of RLS in MS and to compare the extent of brain damage between patients with and without RLS using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
